Sunil has been part of Bal Asha Trust in various capacities since 1994 before taking up the role of Executive Director. Popularly known as “mama” among Bal Asha children he has grown the organization from a small team to now a team of over 50 dedicated individuals. A Graduate in Sociology and Political Science, he leads the organisation’s mission by putting his efforts to promote the protection of vulnerable children across India. He oversees management, operations, communications, planning, strategising and fundraising efforts of Bal Asha Trust.
Under Sunil’s leadership, Bal Asha has designed programmes and partnerships with corporates and other non-profit organisations, to increase its impact for vulnerable children. He is a expert speaker on issues related to children in need of care and protection in various events across India. He is Governing Council member of Maharashtra State Adoption Agency and Leader on the India Council of Global Giving, USA.
