Children’s Home
Our cornerstone is built on providing shelter to homeless children aged 0 to 12 years. We take in our wings the abandoned ones found in life threatening conditions in toilets, railway stations, religious places, hospitals and dustbins by the police and also who are surrendered by the parents due to unforeseen social reasons, from various parts of Maharashtra. We leave no stone unturned in providing the best of care for newborns and children under 12 years of age.
Our team of qualified doctors, para medical team, caretakers and social workers helps us evaluate every single child taken in by us. The Trust carries out all primary medical investigations and any special tests if required. Furthermore, a specialised psychologist counsels the children, assisting the children share their thoughts and conducts tests. Children with special needs receive required intervention by medical experts from the best hospitals.
Healthy food is of utmost importance when it comes to meeting the nutritional needs of the children. Precisely why, we prepare a variety of delicious and nutritious meals at our in-house kitchen
We encourage and facilitate our children to partake in normal activities like schooling, watching movies, going on picnics and visiting museum, creating a healthy lifestyle. Our endeavour to create experiences regardless of a single faith or bias helps us celebrate all the festivals with much fanfare.
It is our sincere effort to make sure the children grow up in an understanding, accepting and healthy environment. We put in all our efforts along with various authorities to rehabilitate the children in need of care and protection by first trying to reunite them with their biological parents. If this isn’t possible, then they are declared ”Free for Adoption” by Child Welfare Committees under the Juvenile Justice Act. These children are then placed in adoption. We consider the best interests of the child before we take any decision and each document about the child is scrutinised by our team.
